Job Summary

Sanmarg Hindi Newspaper is seeking an efficient and organized News Coordinator to support the smooth functioning of our newsroom. The ideal candidate will coordinate with reporters, editors, photographers, and the digital team to ensure timely collection, verification, and delivery of news content. This role requires strong communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced news environment. Knowledge of digital platforms, SEO practices, and modern newsroom content standards (4C+) will be an added advantage.

Key Responsibility -

• Coordinate daily news assignments between reporters, photographers, and editors.
• Track news leads, breaking updates, and ongoing stories throughout the day.
• Ensure timely submission of reports, updates, and content from field teams.
• Communicate with bureau teams and correspondents to gather required information.
• Maintain a well-organized news flow for both print and digital platforms.
• Verify basic facts and ensure accuracy before forwarding content for editing.
• Prepare news lists, schedules, and updates for editorial meetings.
• Assist with editorial planning and prioritizing stories based on relevance and deadlines.
• Collaborate closely with the digital and print teams to ensure consistent coverage.
• Ensure content aligns with digital best practices, SEO guidelines, and 4C+ standards (Correctness, Clarity, Conciseness, Completeness, + Credibility).
• Handle communication between departments to ensure smooth newsroom operations.
