About the Role
The position seeks a dynamic, result-driven sales leader to oversee a large geography within India and select international markets for the Industrial Wastewater segment. The role focuses on achieving order booking and sales targets, driving revenue from spares and AMC, ensuring successful project delivery, and elevating customer satisfaction. Additionally, it involves promoting innovative products, driving special initiatives, and ensuring alignment with organizational quality and safety objectives. Key priorities include strategic sales planning, customer base expansion, strengthening channel partnerships, team leadership, and developing robust solutions for diverse applications.
Responsibilities
- Sales & Business Development
- Develop and execute strategic sales plans for the industrial wastewater treatment market.
- Achieve annual targets for order booking, sales execution, revenue from AMC and spares, and DSO performance.
- Promote innovative product lines and drive adoption across targeted industry segments.
- Team Development
- Build, lead, and develop a high-performing sales team.
- Foster an accountable, performance-driven culture with strong collaboration.
- Customer Engagement & Satisfaction
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key customers, consultants, contractors, and industry influencers.
- Improve Customer Satisfaction Index through superior service, timely deliveries, and consistent engagement.
- Handle escalations and resolve concerns proactively and effectively.
- Thought Leadership & Networking
- Represent the organization at industry events, trade shows, and conferences.
- Prepare and present technical papers, case studies, and organize webinars to promote thought leadership in wastewater solutions.
- Actively network to generate leads and identify new growth opportunities.
- Internal Collaboration & Reporting
- Work closely with application engineering, design, and project execution teams to ensure seamless project transitions.
- Lead cross-functional coordination to enable business success.
- Maintain high-quality sales reporting and analytics using ERP, CRM, and BI tools.
- Data Management & Tools
- Utilize strong analytical skills to interpret large datasets for business insights.
- Leverage ERP, CRM, and BI platforms for forecasting, pipeline management, and performance tracking.
- Safety & Compliance
- Ensure adherence to all safety norms during customer visits, project discussions, and internal operations.
- Promote a culture of safety, quality, and compliance across all team interactions and customer engagements.
Qualifications
Graduate degree in Environmental, Mechanical, or Electrical Engineering (postgraduate management qualification is advantageous but not mandatory).10–15 years of experience in a mid-sized organization with manufacturing and project operations, preferably in wastewater, water engineering, or environment-related sectors.Proven experience of 3–5 years in a senior sales leadership role with team management responsibilities.Strong understanding of wastewater treatment technologies and industry sales cycles; high commercial acumen.Excellent communication, presentation, networking, and stakeholder management skills.Proficiency in ERP and CRM systems; strong digital and analytical capability.Good understanding of finance, commercial transactions, marketing, human resources, corporate governance, and relevant environmental laws.Entrepreneurial mindset with strong organizational and leadership qualities.Required Skills
