Senior Accounts Executive (Internal)

Sikich is seeking Senior Accounts Executive with 12-15 years of experience in Indian accounting to join our dynamic team, who can oversee and manage daily accounting functions within an office environment. The ideal candidate would be handling day-to-day accounting tasks, including bookkeeping, financial reporting, tax compliance, and audit preparations, ensuring compliance with Indian financial regulations.

Job Responsibilities

• Ensure compliance with GST, Companies Act 2013, Income Tax, Provident Fund (PF), Professional Tax (PT), Gratuity Act and other statutory requirements.
• Stay updated on changes in Indian accounting and tax regulations.
• Manage daily bookkeeping, review bills and critically examine it before processing payment.
• Assist external audit & accounting firms by providing necessary documentation and reports.
• Reconcile inventory records, and other ledgers regularly.
• Develop and document business processes and accounting policies to maintain and strengthen internal controls.
• Assisting in the preparation and monitoring of budgets. Providing support in financial planning and forecasting.
• Analyzing costs and identifying areas for cost reduction
• Verify, allocate, post and reconcile accounts payable and receivable.
• Produce error-free accounting reports and present their results.
• Spot errors and suggest ways to improve efficiency and spending.
• Support month-end and year-end close process.
• Review and recommend modifications to accounting systems and procedures.
