Data Science Specialist

• Data Analysis & Interpretation – Analyze complex datasets to extract meaningful insights and actionable recommendations. Your work will drive improvements to our skill assessment algorithms and career development tools.o Conduct exploratory data analysis to identify trends, patterns, and anomalies.o Translate findings into clear, concise reports and presentations for stakeholders.
• Machine Learning Model Development – Design, develop, and deploy machine learning models for skill prediction, personalized learning recommendations, and intelligent matchmaking.o Experiment with various algorithms and techniques to optimize model performance.o Maintain and improve existing models through continuous monitoring and retraining.
• Clustering and Segmentation – Apply clustering techniques to segment users based on skills, career goals, and learning preferences. These segments will inform personalized experiences and targeted interventions.o Utilize K-Means and other clustering methods to create meaningful user segments.o Evaluate segment quality and refine clustering parameters to improve accuracy.
• Embedding and Similarity Analysis – Create and utilize embeddings to measure the similarity between skills, jobs, and learning resources. This enables us to provide relevant recommendations and improve search functionality.o Implement and evaluate different embedding techniques, such as word embeddings or graph embeddings.o Develop similarity metrics based on embeddings to identify related items.
• Statistical Modeling and Analysis – Apply statistical techniques to analyze data, test hypotheses, and validate model performance. A strong understanding of statistical principles is essential for ensuring the reliability of our insights.o Perform hypothesis testing to evaluate the statistical significance of findings.o Develop statistical models to predict future trends and outcomes.
• Data Preprocessing and Feature Engineering – Clean, transform, and prepare data for analysis and modeling. Effective data preprocessing is critical for achieving accurate and reliable results.o Handle missing values, outliers, and inconsistencies in datasets.o Create new features from existing data to improve model performance.
• Collaboration and Communication – Work closely with engineers, product managers, and other stakeholders to define requirements, design solutions, and communicate results.o Participate in cross-functional team meetings to share progress and gather feedback.o Document your work clearly and thoroughly.
• Model Training and Evaluation – Train machine learning models using large datasets, and evaluate their performance using appropriate metrics. Rigorous evaluation is essential for ensuring the quality and reliability of our models.o Implement cross-validation techniques to assess model generalization performance.o Analyze model errors and identify areas for improvement.
• Staying Current – Keep up-to-date with the latest advancements in data science, machine learning, and AI.o Read research papers, attend conferences, and participate in online communities.o Experiment with new tools and techniques to enhance your skills and knowledge.It'll be helpful if you have :
• 3-5 years of experience as a Data Scientist or similar role.
• Strong programming skills in Python, including experience with libraries such as scikit-learn, TensorFlow, and PyTorch.
• Solid understanding of machine learning algorithms, including supervised, unsupervised, and reinforcement learning techniques.
• Experience with clustering, embedding, similarity analysis, and segmentation analytics.
• Proficiency in statistical science, including K-Means, Cosine Similarity, and other relevant methods.
• Experience working with large datasets and distributed computing environments.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to explain complex concepts to technical and non-technical audiences.
• A Master's or Ph.D. degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, or a related field.
• Experience with cloud computing platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.
