Senior Software Engineer (4+ years, Java Full Stack, GenAI)

The Opportunity :

We are looking for Versatile curious and energetic Software Engineers who embrace solving complex challenges on a global scale and implement advanced automation tools leveraging Artificial Intelligence (AI) to enhance our Release Management function. This role is critical to optimizing and streamlining the release process ensuring smooth efficient and error-free deployments across test and production environments.

As a Visa Software Engineer you will be an integral part of a multi-functional development team inventing designing building and testing software products that will automate and speed up software release. You will lead hands-on development of innovative AI-driven automation solutions from proof of concept (POC) through to deployment and maintenance.

The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background a deep understanding of software development lifecycles and a commitment to collaborative problem solving and quality product delivery.

The Work itself :

• Design develop and maintain AI-powered automation tools that enhance and streamline the release management lifecycle while shaping internal standards for scalability reliability and reusability.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with Release Management DevOps and Development teams to gather requirements and translate them into innovative technical solutions.
• Build robust scalable automation frameworks that seamlessly integrate with existing CI / CD pipelines and release orchestration systems.
• Conduct proofs of concept (POCs) and prototype AI-driven features to optimize release scheduling risk analysis and anomaly detection.
• Leverage Generative AI technologies to advance software development practicesenabling intelligent code generation optimization and automated testing.
• Produce comprehensive technical documentation user guides and reference material for newly developed tools.
• Participate actively in code reviews testing and troubleshooting to ensure exceptional product quality and reliability.
• Demonstrate adaptability and proactive problem-solving skills to meet evolving project priorities and business goals.
• Stay informed about emerging AI technologies and best practices relevant to release automation and continuous delivery.
• Foster a culture of engineering excellencedriving adoption of continuous integration secure coding thorough code review code coverage code quality metrics and early-stage validation (shift-left) approaches.
• Identify opportunities for enhancement across standards processes and systems to ensure continuous improvement and innovation.
