Senior Unix Engineer Duties And Responsibilities

 Monitor the environment for performance and stability to meet Service Level objectives.

 Maintain system patching and security levels.

 Develop ansible playbooks and modules.

 Create and deploy Ansible solutions for a distributed data center infrastructure environment.

 Install, configure, test, and maintain operating systems, application software and system

management tools.

 Troubleshoot and resolve issues in our dev, test, and production environments.

 Root cause analysis on incidents related to UNIX systems, hardware, and OS / software.

 Maintain the environment to satisfy security requirements set by business drivers,

Information Security, and Compliance departments.

 Update system and process documentation and user guides as needed diagrams and SOPs as

needed.

 Participate in an on-call rotation to address production related issues.

 Possess the ability to objectively handle escalation of reported incidents.
