Job Title : Manager – US Accounting (Finance & Accounts)

Location : Ahmedabad

Experience : 8–12+ years (with minimum 4–5 years in US Accounting)

Team Size Managed : 20+ members

About the Role

We are looking for an experienced Finance & Accounts (F&A) professional with strong expertise in

US Accounting processes and proven experience in leading and managing large teams. The ideal candidate will oversee day-to-day accounting operations, ensure compliance with US GAAP, lead continuous process improvements, and drive high-performance culture within the team.

Key Responsibilities

Lead and manage a team of 20+ accounting professionals handling US-based clients.

Oversee end-to-end US accounting processes including AP, AR, GL, Bank Reconciliations, Month-End / Year-End Closing, Fixed Assets, Payroll Accounting, etc.

Ensure accurate preparation of financial statements in compliance with US GAAP .

Review journal entries, reconciliations, and reports for accuracy and completeness.

Build strong workflows and SOPs to maintain quality and consistency.

Monitor performance metrics, provide coaching, and manage team development.

Coordinate with onshore / offshore stakeholders and act as the primary escalation point.

Drive automation, process improvements, and operational efficiencies.

Ensure compliance with internal controls, audit requirements, and corporate policies.

Required Skills & Qualifications

Bachelor’s / Master’s degree in Commerce, Accounting, Finance, or related field.

8–12+ years of overall F&A experience with mandatory US Accounting exposure .

Strong knowledge of US GAAP , US financial reporting, and month-end close processes.

Proven experience managing and mentoring large teams of 20 or more members .

Proficiency with accounting ERP systems (QuickBooks, NetSuite, Oracle, SAP, etc.).

Excellent communication, leadership, analytical, and stakeholder-management skills.

Ability to work in a fast-paced, client-focused environment with strict timelines.

Preferred Qualifications

CPA / CMA / CA / MBA Finance (preferred, not mandatory).

Experience working in BPO / KPO / shared service environments.

Exposure to automation tools (RPA), BI dashboards, or advanced Excel.
