Role Overview

We are looking for a hands-on and detail-oriented 3D Content Specialist to support product visualization and Amazon 3D listing development & product manual creation. The ideal candidate will have working knowledge of CAD-to-3D model conversion , Blender for animation and rendering , and basic video editing skills .

This role involves converting product CAD drawings into accurate 3D models, preparing Amazon-ready files, and creating product animations or videos suitable for ecommerce listings and marketing use.

Key Responsibilities

3D Modeling

  • Convert 2D CAD drawings / technical drafts into accurate 3D models.
  • Model products in SketchUp or any equivalent CAD modeling tool (SketchUp preferred).
  • Ensure correct scale, dimensions, and proportional accuracy for manufacturing consistency.

Amazon 3D Model Preparation

  • Optimize and format 3D models according to Amazon AR View / 3D model technical specifications .
  • (Example : scale accuracy, triangle count, naming conventions, UV mapping, texture maps, and .Glb export requirements.)
  • Prepare and deliver files in required formats (primarily GLB / glTF ).
  • Make revisions as required to meet Amazon compliance and approval standards .

    • Animation & Rendering

  • Use Blender to animate products, rotating turntables, assembly movements, or feature demos.
  • Set up lighting, materials, and rendering pipelines for photorealistic output.

    • Video Editing

  • Compile renders or animations into short clips for ecommerce listings or promotional use.
  • Use any professional video editing tools (Premiere Pro, DaVinci Resolve, Final Cut, etc.).

    • Collaboration & QA

  • Work closely with the product team, packaging team, marketing, and listing managers to ensure accuracy and branding consistency.
  • Make revisions based on feedback and maintain proper version control.

    • Required Skills & Qualifications

  • Working proficiency in Blender (animation, modeling, rendering, materials, UVs).
  • Working knowledge of SketchUp or any CAD-based 3D modeling tool.
  • Understanding of 3D workflows, mesh topology, textures, UV unwrapping , and optimization.
  • Familiarity with file export formats : GLB / glTF, OBJ, FBX, STL.
  • Ability to edit basic product videos using any standard editing tool.
  • Good communication skills and ability to work with cross-functional teams.

    • Preferred (Good to Have)

  • Experience working with Amazon e-commerce product models or listing standards.
  • Understanding of PBR textures , real-world material simulation, or product rendering.
  • Experience with packaging texture mapping.
  • Interest in AR / VR, rendering automation, or real-time engines like Unity / Unreal.

    • Education & Experience

  • Diploma or degree in Animation, 3D Design, Industrial Design, Fine Arts, or equivalent.
  • 0–3 years of experience in 3D modelling, animation, or product visualization.
  • A portfolio demonstrating relevant work (CAD models, Blender projects, product renders, Amazon-style models).

    • Success in This Role Looks Like :

  • Delivering clean, accurate, and fully compliant 3D product models for Amazon listings.
  • Producing high-quality renders, animations, and video edits with minimal revisions.
  • Meeting project timelines while maintaining consistency and quality.
