About the Role :
Fort Hill DAATA is looking for a Data / document Annotator to help organize and manage large volumes of construction-related documents, such as payment applications, invoices, and contracts. You will work with PDFs, Excel files, and digital storage systems like Dropbox and SharePoint. Your work will support advanced data analysis and automation.
Key Responsibilities :
🔹 Organizing Documents :
- Review and categorize construction payment applications (20–1,000+ pages each).
- Identify key documents like invoices, insurance certificates, and contracts.
- Set up a structured folder system for easy access.
🔹 Processing & Converting Files :
Use OCR (Optical Character Recognition) to make scanned documents readable.Convert messy or unusable files into a structured format.Extract important data using document parsing tools.🔹 Indexing & Tagging :
Create a searchable index with project details, payment info, and document types.Add metadata tags to make future searches easier.🔹 Preparing Data for AI & Machine Learning :
Group related documents logically (e.g., payment applications, change orders).Work with the AI / ML team to structure data for automation.Suggest best practices for document storage and access.Who Should Apply?
Must-Have :
Engineering degree2–4 years of experience in document management, records management, or construction documentation annotationStrong skills in PDF management, OCR tools, and file organization.Experience handling construction payment applications, invoices, and contracts.Worked on several different annotation's projects - data Summarisation and annotations, Worked on OCR data (Image & Text both)Familiarity with Dropbox, SharePoint, or similar storage tools.Good to Have :
Knowledge of data extraction and document management tools.Experience with Excel, Power BI, or database management.Understanding of machine learning data preparation.LLM, RAG , AI Annotation platforms
