Job description

As a Business Development Manager for Diversity and Inclusion Consulting, you will be responsible for driving sales and revenue growth by identifying and acquiring new clients, as well as nurturing relationships with existing clients. Your primary focus will be on promoting and selling our diversity and inclusion consulting services to organizations across various industries. You will play a crucial role in expanding our client base and increasing our market presence, contributing to the advancement of diversity and inclusion initiatives in workplaces.

Responsibilities :

Market Research and Analysis :

Conduct comprehensive market research to identify potential clients, industry trends, and competitor strategies in diversity and inclusion consulting.
Analyze market data to identify opportunities for business growth and develop targeted strategies to penetrate key market segments.

Client Acquisition and Relationship Management :

Prospect, pitch, and secure new clients through various channels including cold calling, networking, referrals, and attending industry events.

Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, understanding their diversity and inclusion needs and providing tailored solutions to address them.

Collaborate with the consulting team to ensure successful delivery of services and client satisfaction.

Proposal Development and Presentation :

Develop compelling proposals and presentations outlining our consulting services, methodologies, and value propositions tailored to meet client needs.

Present proposals to clients, addressing their concerns and objections effectively, and negotiating terms to secure contracts.

Sales Pipeline Management :

Manage the sales pipeline efficiently, tracking leads, opportunities, and client interactions using CRM software.

Forecast sales targets accurately and develop strategies to meet or exceed them.

Industry Thought Leadership :

Stay updated on industry trends, best practices, and emerging issues related to diversity and inclusion.

Share insights and thought leadership through participation in industry conferences, webinars, and writing articles or blog posts.

Collaboration and Teamwork :

Work closely with the consulting team to ensure alignment between client needs and service delivery.

Collaborate with marketing and communication teams to develop marketing materials and campaigns to promote diversity and inclusion consulting services.

Qualifications :

Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Human Resources, or a related field. Master's degree preferred.

Proven track record of success in business development, preferably in the consulting or professional services industry.

Strong understanding of diversity, equity, and inclusion concepts and their application in organizational settings.

Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.

Ability to build and maintain relationships with clients at all levels of an organization.

Strategic thinking and analytical skills with the ability to identify market opportunities and develop effective sales strategies.
