Job description3 to 4 years of strong experience developing test automation for frontend automation using Playwright, Selenium, or other browser automation tools. Experience automating GraphQL APIs, REST APIs, etc. Expert-level knowledge in one or more programming languages : Python, Java, JavaScript, etc. Experience with industry best practices in software development processes : unit testing, code coverage, object-oriented design, code quality, automation, code reviews, etc. Proven ownership and delivery of automation for a sizable product or product component; strong sense of independence and self-direction. Experience working with large codebases, writing new code, and maintaining existing code. Ability to work with cross-functional teams, prioritize automation requirements, and deliver in a timely fashion. Experience working with CI / CD tools. Proficient in Git, Bitbucket, or other version control tools. Working knowledge of SQL, GCP / AWS, and database systems. Experience automating financial or analytics software.
We are looking for a meticulous SDET who will be responsible for the design and implementation of automated tests and test environments for Arcana. The engineer must have a passion for diving into data and technology, be a problem solver, and have a desire to improve software quality within a team environment. This role is critical in ensuring technology functions efficiently and effectively, minimizes errors, and helps meet software quality goals.
Responsibilities :
- Collaborate with various teams at Arcana to understand automation needs.
- Contribute to and maintain test automation framework development.
- Lead programmatic best practices by example; be a hands-on programmer.
- Estimate efforts, identify risks, devise mitigation plans, and meet project automation schedules.
- Monitor automation metrics for continuous quality and process improvements.
