Makeup Artist

We are searching for a person who has a creative flair, practical ability, and an up-to-date knowledge of fashion and beauty trends. You will be joining us as a makeup artist and working with the creative team.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Enhance facial aesthetics through makeup
• Work with actors on movie sets
• Take lighting and setting into consideration when applying makeup
• Find out which materials and colors are the most suitable
• Work in coordination with costume designers, set designers, and stylists to ensure consistency
• Ensure hair styling is done in accordance with makeup
• Apply touchups as and when needed
• Go through scripts to ascertain the materials and the look required as directed by the Creative Director
• Draw designs for future looks
• Purchase cosmetics and applicators from vendors and negotiate prices
• Ensure makeup looks natural and well-applied under different lighting
• Maintain an awareness of the latest trends in beauty
• Use models and fashion magazines as reference points
• Understand what a film director wants a character to look like
• Remove makeup after usage on film sets
• Consult clients / actors on their skincare routines
• Operate within health and safety regulations
