We are seeking an efficient and skilled Vertical Presales Consultant
The candidate will lead the bid process, from opportunity identification to proposal submission to customers. This involves guaranteeing the prompt delivery of well-crafted proposals aligned with client expectations efficiently overseeing the bid budget and ensuring full adherence to all RFP specifications and protocols.
Roles & Responsibilities
- Leading the end-to-end bid process– from opportunity identification, qualification, and proposal submission.
- Crafting and implementing bidding approaches that are in line with both the organization’s strategic objectives and the specific needs of the client.
- Collaborating with cross-functional teams like sales, practice, legal, and finance—to gather essential inputs and craft compelling bid content such as capability slides, executive summaries, value propositions, pricing structures, and technical responses
- Prepare bid plan, maintain comprehensive and accurate bid documentation and maintain repository.
- Organize and lead bid review sessions, ensuring active participation from key stakeholders to gather feedback and resolve any concerns or issues.
- Carry out post-bid evaluations and debriefs to pinpoint improvement opportunities and apply insights gained to enhance future bidding efforts.
- Keep apprised on industry trends, market insights, and emerging best practices in bid management. Continuously enhance bid procedures, templates, and best practices to improve overall efficiency and effectiveness.
- Leverage knowledge of delivering services in IT industry to prepare Delivery Approach, Governance, SLA / KPIs as per the scope of the proposal.
- Review inputs from SMEs and Delivery including Resource Loading plan and provide feedback, to help create optimized resource plan and competitive pricing.
- Create presentations for the proposals and leadership reviews. structuring content logically and designing clear visuals.
Required skills and qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in business administration or a related field.10-15 years of experience as a bid manager, proposal manager, or a similar roleExperience in Delivery is an added advantage.Excellent understanding of a proposal lifecycle, proposal writing, presentations, and contract negotiation.Proficient in using MS Office and creating visually appealing and engaging bid presentations.Excellent written & verbal communication, ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams and influence stakeholders at various levels.Understanding pricing strategies and financial analysis in bid development.Ability to prioritize tasks to meet deadlines and manage multiple bids simultaneously.
