Indirect Tax Strategy Lead

Role Overview

We are seeking a Tax Manager – Indirect Tax to join our growing team in Bangalore . This role is at the intersection of Tax, strategy, and compliance , supporting both Clicktech and New Trends Commerce businesses. You’ll be a key advisor to leadership, shaping indirect tax strategy that enables business expansion, operational excellence, and cost efficiency.

You’ll work closely with cross-functional teams to anticipate tax implications of new initiatives, identify process gaps, and develop scalable solutions that support our fast-growing e-commerce and BPO businesses. This is a high-visibility role offering opportunities to influence strategic business decisions while ensuring we maintain the highest standards of compliance and governance.

Key Responsibilities

• Be the business partner for tax strategy : Work with leadership and business teams to proactively assess indirect tax risks and opportunities for both Clicktech and New Trends Commerce.
• Drive policy and process improvements : Track regulatory changes, evaluate their impact, and implement business-ready solutions to ensure compliance and agility.
• Shape business launches : Collaborate with category and finance teams to evaluate new programs or product launches, ensuring tax structures are optimized from day one.
• Lead audits and assessments : Design frameworks for audit preparedness, manage GST assessments across states, and lead representation before authorities.
• Protect business interests : Partner with vendors and internal stakeholders to close reconciliations, minimize tax leakages, and ensure seamless input credit utilization.
• Strategic decision-making : Review tax positions periodically, provide insights for new business models, and strengthen governance around indirect tax.
• Cross-functional impact : Support finance during statutory and internal audits and contribute to monthly tax reviews with senior leadership.
