About the Role :

We are looking for a highly motivated and analytical Assistant Category Manager to support the development and execution of category strategies that drive growth, profitability, and market share. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, data-driven, and passionate about consumer insights, product performance, and brand building.

You’ll work closely with the Category Manager , Marketing , Supply Chain , and Sales teams to ensure seamless planning, performance tracking, and innovation across the product portfolio.

Key Responsibilities :

1. Category Strategy & Planning :

Support the Category Manager in developing and executing annual category plans based on market insights, competitive benchmarking, and business goals.

2. Business Performance Tracking :

Analyse category sales, margins, and inventory performance, and generate regular dashboards with actionable insights for business decisions.

3. Product & Portfolio Management :

Coordinate cross-functional efforts for new product launches and manage the lifecycle of existing SKUs through data-led decisions.

4. Marketing & Consumer Insights :

Collaborate with marketing teams to design and execute category campaigns while deriving insights from consumer research and market data.

5. Cross-Functional Collaboration :

Work closely with Supply Chain, Finance, and Sales to ensure smooth execution of category plans, forecasting accuracy, and on-time delivery.

Preferred Qualifications :

1.Education & Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Economics, or a related field.
• MBA preferred.
• 2–3 years of experience in category management, brand management, merchandising, or business analysis (FMCG, retail, or D2C experience preferred).
