Role Description
This is a full-time Associate position in the Small and Medium-Sized Business Department , based in Noida, Uttar Pradesh. It is a hybrid role , requiring in-office attendance on specific days as determined by the Company, with the remaining days designated for remote work.
The Associate is expected to work from 7 : 00 AM to 3 : 00 PM Eastern Standard Time , Monday through Friday. During peak periods, working hours may extend up to 5 : 00 PM EST , as directed by the Company. Occasionally, additional hours may be required to fulfill job duties without extra pay .
The role involves working with owner-managed businesses , small and medium-sized enterprises , and clients across various industries in Canada and the US .
Key Responsibilities
Core Accounting & Tax Responsibilities
Develop technical skills in areas such as personal, corporate, and trust income tax returns , and payroll / information returns.
Organize and prepare data for Canadian corporate income tax filings , including T2 returns, GST / HST returns, and tax slips.
Prepare financial statements , including Compilation engagements , for clients across multiple industries.
Review bookkeeping completed internally or by clients, identify discrepancies, and prepare monthly or quarterly GST / HST returns.
File & Client Management
Manage multiple files simultaneously and meet ongoing deadlines.
Collaborate closely with the client engagement team to ensure timely and accurate completion of deliverables.
Communicate with clients to address financial, tax, and compliance-related queries.
US & Canadian Taxation
Prepare and file US federal and state tax returns (Forms 1040, 1120, 1120S, 1065, etc.).
Prepare and support Canadian tax returns (T1, T2) while ensuring full compliance with CRA guidelines.
Draft response memos for CRA audit letters and facilitate calls with CRA for audits, reviews, or inquiries.
Compliance & Support
Assist team members with various accounting and tax-related projects.
Maintain accurate documentation while complying with US GAAP and Canadian accounting standards .
Provide financial insights and continuously contribute to process improvements.
Preferred Qualifications & Skills
Chartered Accountant (CA) degree or equivalent qualification (CPA, CMA, ACCA).
Minimum 3 years of accounting experience , including Compilation or Review Engagements.
Experience with accounting and tax software such as QuickBooks, Sage , or similar platforms.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to work effectively within a fast-paced , team-oriented environment.
Strong organizational and time-management skills with the ability to multitask.
Proactive approach, strong problem-solving abilities, and attention to detail.
Demonstrated accuracy and thoroughness in completing tasks and deliverables.
