Senior Backend Engineer

We're looking for a Senior Backend Engineer to help scale our platform and build the infrastructure that powers the next generation of product intelligence.

Job Responsibilities : Design, build, and maintain scalable backend services that process high volumes of data reliably and efficiently.

Develop and optimize event-driven architectures and asynchronous processing pipelines.

Build and improve APIs that power our dashboard, integrations, and external developer SDKs.

Implement robust data storage patterns for multi-tenant SaaS, ensuring performance, security, and isolation.

Collaborate with the ML / AI team to integrate AI capabilities into production systems efficiently.

Design monitoring, alerting, and observability systems to ensure high availability and rapid incident response.

Contribute to security best practices including authentication, authorization, and secure credential management.

Participate in architecture decisions and help establish engineering standards as the team grows.

Debug and resolve production issues across distributed systems.

Write clean, tested, maintainable code and participate in code reviews.

Minimum Requirements : Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent practical experience.

5+ years of backend engineering experience, with significant work on production systems at scale.

Strong proficiency in Python or similar backend languages.

Experience with cloud platforms and serverless architectures.

Solid understanding of NoSQL databases, data modeling, and query optimization.

Experience building and consuming RESTful APIs.

Familiarity with event-driven architectures, message queues, and asynchronous processing patterns.

Understanding of security fundamentals : authentication, encryption, secrets management.

Ability to work independently and drive projects to completion in a fully remote environment.

Preferred Skills : Experience building multi-tenant SaaS platforms.

Familiarity with infrastructure-as-code and CI / CD pipelines.

Experience integrating with third-party APIs and OAuth flows.

Knowledge of cost optimization strategies for cloud infrastructure.

Experience with billing systems and subscription management.

Background in processing text data or working alongside ML / NLP systems.

Familiarity with observability tools and distributed tracing.

Experience mentoring engineers and contributing to engineering culture.
