Job description

INSTITUTION :

GIFT Autonomous, Bhubaneswar, a College of Repute imparting Diploma, B.Tech, M.Sc, M.Tech, MCA, MBA, PhD, BBA, BCA. Students are mainly from Odisha, Bihar, Jharkhand and West

Bengal.

LOCATION : Bhubaneswar, Odisha

Experience : 10+ years in administration, preferably in Educational Institution

Compensation : Minimum of ₹50,000 per month (Performance-based)

Job Description : GIFT Autonomous Engineering College is seeking a highly organized and proactive Administrative Officer to manage the administrative functions of the institution. The ideal candidate will ensure smooth day-to-day operations, compliance with institutional policies, and effective coordination among various departments.

Key Responsibilities :

1. Administrative Management :

  • Oversee general administration, including campus facilities, security, housekeeping, and maintenance.
  • Ensure compliance with institutional policies and statutory regulations.

2. Coordination & Communication :

  • Act as a liaison between management, faculty, and staff.
  • Handle correspondence, reports, and documentation effectively.
  • 3. Student Services :

  • Support admission processes, student documentation, and counselling activities.
  • Address student queries and provide administrative support to the academic office.
  • 4. Financial Oversight :

  • Assist in budget preparation, procurement processes, and vendor management.
  • Monitor and manage administrative expenses.
  • 5. Event Management :

  • Coordinate institutional events, workshops, and conferences.
  • Ensure logistical arrangements for smooth execution of events.
  • QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS :

  • Bachelors / Master’s degree in HR, Marketing, Digital Media, Communications, or a related field.
  • Person retired from Government / Corporates doing similar jobs are also eligible.
  • Strong analytical skills and ability to interpret data for decision-making.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Creative mind-set with a passion for storytelling and audience engagement.
  • Proficiency in MS Office and administrative software.
  • Leadership and problem-solving capabilities.
  • KEY COMPETENCIES :

  • Attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
  • Team player with strong interpersonal skills.
  • Knowledge of regulatory compliance in the education sector.
