Job Overview

A Guidewire Smart COMM Developer creates and maintains document generation and customer communication solutions for the insurance industry. The role involves using Smart Communications (formerly Thunderhead) to integrate with Guidewire's Insurance Suite applications (Policy Center, Billing Center, and Claim Center) and other systems.

Duties and Responsibilities :

• Design and develop templates, layouts, and style sets for multi-channel communications, including print (PDF, Postscript, PCL), email, and web.
• Work with business analysts to translate business requirements into technical solutions within the Smart COMM platform.
• Integrate Smart COMM with Guidewire applications and other enterprise systems using web services (REST / SOAP) and APIs.
• Create and maintain data models, including defining XML data schemas and mapping them to business objects.
• Perform unit testing and support quality assurance (QA) during system integration and user acceptance testing (UAT).
• Troubleshoot and debug issues related to Smart COMM templates, data, and configurations.
• Prepare technical documentation for development, testing, and deployment processes.
• Participate in agile and scrum methodologies to deliver projects effectively.
• Optimize document generation performance and adhere to best practices.
