Major role and responsibilities

Thorough approach involving in-depth understanding of client needs and legal intricacies in handling assignments.

Possesses strong analytical and research aptitude with the ability to understand and apply statutory provisions, notifications and judicial precedents.

Good command over English and sound drafting skills.

Knowledge of case laws and the relevant legal framework and remains abreast of regulatory updates.

Proactive in monitoring developments and trends in indirect tax laws and sharing insights with the team.

Ability to do quick research to develop a theoretical understanding of the laws and acts.

Capable of preparing research notes, client communications and legal updates under guidance.

Demonstrates professionalism, accountability and effective time management in executing assignments

Required Skill Set

The incumbent will handle engagements related to Indirect Tax Laws : including Tax Advisory and consulting, Tax restructuring and Tax litigation pertaining to GST Law, Customs Law, Foreign Trade Policy, Service Tax, VAT, Excise and other related laws.

Assignments will also include litigation-related services : drafting of opinions, drafting replies to show cause notices, appeals, writ petitions, special leave petitions, briefing counsels and senior counsels

Qualification - LLB & CA

Experience - 2+years
