Deputy Manager - Credit Underwriting

This is a full time role with our client which is a global automobile org (for their captive finance arm).

This position will be responsible for designing, reviewing, and implementing credit underwriting policies for wholesale lending to automobile dealers. The role ensures credit proposals are evaluated within the defined risk appetite, regulatory framework, and business objectives of the NBFC.

Duties and Responsibilities-

Policy Development & Governance

• Draft, implement, and periodically review credit underwriting policies for dealer / distributor finance (floor-plan, inventory, trade receivables, etc.).
• Ensure policies align with RBI NBFC directions, internal risk appetite, and group-level guidelines.
• Establish risk acceptance criteria, exposure limits, and exception approval frameworks.
• Maintain delegation of authority (DOA) for credit decision-making.
