About the Role
We are seeking an experienced and certified ServiceNow Developer with a strong technical background across multiple ServiceNow product suites including GRC, SecOps, IRM, ITSM, ITBM, ITAM, CSM, HRSD , and platform components. The ideal candidate will be a Certified ServiceNow Administrator (CSA) with hands-on experience configuring, customizing, and extending the ServiceNow platform in a large-scale, complex enterprise environment .
This role requires a technical subject matter expert who can design, develop, troubleshoot, and support ServiceNow applications while ensuring adherence to platform best practices and architectural guidelines. You will collaborate with architects, product owners, and cross-functional stakeholders to build innovative solutions, automate workflows, and continuously improve the platform.
Key Responsibilities
1. ServiceNow Platform Development & Configuration
- Configure, customize, and enhance the ServiceNow platform across multiple modules including ITSM, CSM, ITBM, ITAM, HRSD, GRC / SecOps / IRM .
- Develop advanced customizations using :
- UI Policies / Client Scripts / Business Rules
- Script Includes
- UI Macros, UI Pages
- ACLs & Security Rules
- MID Server installation, configuration & integrations
- Import Sets, Transform Maps, Data Policies
- Update Sets, Scoped Apps
- Build complex workflows, catalog items, record producers, flow actions, and automation using Flow Designer / Workflow Editor.
2. Technical Leadership & Solution Design
Act as a Technical Product Advocate for ServiceNow, guiding solution design and recommending best practices.Review user stories and translate them into scalable technical solutions aligned with architectural guidelines.Evaluate alternative solutions, perform feasibility analysis, and propose efficient, cost-effective technical implementations.Mentor junior developers, conduct code reviews, and guide team members through best practices.3. Integrations & Automation
Develop and maintain REST / SOAP-based integrations with external systems.Use MID Server and IntegrationHub (Spokes) to create automated workflows across enterprise applications.Leverage scripting and automation tools to enhance ServiceNow operational efficiency.4. Operations, Support & Continuous Improvement
Monitor platform performance, diagnose issues, and implement bug fixes, enhancements, and root-cause analysis .Provide L2 / L3 support for ServiceNow application issues across environments.Ensure high availability, stability, and health of the platform.Document solutions, configurations, upgrade procedures, build guides, and release notes.Identify configurational gaps and drive continuous improvement initiatives .5. Governance & SDLC Compliance
Follow Agile development methodologies, participate in sprint ceremonies, and maintain story / task updates.Ensure compliance with ServiceNow coding standards, naming conventions, security practices , and upgrade-safe development.Manage deployments across Sub-Prod and Prod environments using update sets, ATF tests, and release workflows.Collaborate with QA to ensure test coverage and validate solution quality before deployments.6. Stakeholder Collaboration
Interact professionally with onsite teams, customers, and cross-functional stakeholders.Understand business requirements and provide configuration options with pros / cons for each approach.Communicate technical constraints, architectural considerations, and platform limitations clearly.7.
