Position Overview
A Sales Consultant in retail is responsible for delivering exceptional customer service, driving sales, and ensuring a smooth and positive store experience. The role focuses on understanding customer needs, recommending suitable products, and maintaining store standards.
Key Responsibilities :
Customer Service & Engagement
- Welcome customers and assist them in identifying products that meet their needs.
- Provide product knowledge, features, and benefits to help customers make informed decisions.
- Address customer queries, concerns, and complaints with professionalism.
Sales Achievement
Meet and exceed daily / weekly / monthly sales targets.Promote new arrivals, key products, and ongoing offers.Support upselling and cross-selling to maximize store revenue.Store Operations
Ensure merchandise is neatly displayed, well-stocked, and in line with visual merchandising guidelines.Assist with inventory management, stock replenishment, and tagging.Maintain cleanliness and organization of the sales floor and fitting rooms.Transaction Handling
Process sales through POS systems accurately.Manage exchanges, returns, and billing with efficiency and accuracy.Ensure all cash handling procedures are followed.Team Collaboration
Work closely with the store team to achieve overall store targets.Participate in daily briefings, training sessions, and store activities.Support colleagues during peak hours and events.Qualifications & Skills
0–3 years of experience in retail or customer-facing roles.Strong communication and interpersonal skills.Basic understanding of sales techniques and customer service principles.Ability to multitask and work under pressure.Comfortable with POS systems and basic computer applications.Flexibility to work shifts, weekends, and holidays.Personal Attributes
