Role Summary :
The Head of Communications will lead the implementation of the communications vertical of the org. The position involves the creation of quality content that effectively communicates the foundation's work and builds brand recognition. The role would require engaging with both internal and external stakeholders of the organization.
Responsibilities :
Branding and Communications :
- Develop and implement a consistent internal and external communications strategy aligned to the Organization's strategy & values with the objective of creating strong brand identity
- Work closely with the team to devise & execute strategies to build our digital / media presence (from videos and webinars to apps to podcasts). Crafting brand positioning statements, maintaining consistency in communication, and conducting periodic brand audits
- Using media to establish the organization and its key people as experts on ID. Giving a media push to advocacy and leadership initiatives
Stakeholder Engagement
Work closely with the internal program teams to showcase various interventions effectively across platformsIdentify different stakeholders (supporters, Partners, Volunteers, donors, media) and effectively reach out to them at regular intervalsWork with the Head of Fundraising and Donor Management team build effective content for fundraising campaignsOperational
Lead and guide the Communication Team in the development of annual reports, award applications, build campaigns, creation of collaterals for different audiences to meet different goals (like fundraising, advocacy, volunteer engagement, etc.). Work collaboratively with all internal stakeholders / program heads to ensure Work done by the organization is appropriately communicatedOrganise the community integration program in collaboration with the Managers in Education and skill development.Qualifications & Experience
Bachelors degree or equivalent degree.Minimum 12-15 years of work experience in communication branding. Effective understanding of how technology can aid marketing.Strong grasp of how to create & launch digital products and create a content funnel. Excellent oral and written communicationEnglish and HindiStrong presentation skills.Knowledge of layouts, graphic fundamentals, typography, print and videography. Knowledge of Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, Premiere Pro / Final Cut, and other graphic design software.Competencies : Must-have :
