Role Overview :

We are hiring Technical QA Specialist who will serve as the technical gatekeepers of our courses. You will work end-to-end through each course slides, videos, quizzes and its labs to catch technical inaccuracies, validate lab design and question types, and calibrate difficulty to certification expectations—replicating and scaling the rigor used in our CKA-quality checks across all courses.

What you will do :

Audit courses end-to-end for technical accuracy, version alignment (tools / CLIs / APIs), and relevance to certification blueprints.

Execute all labs from a cold start; validate steps, hints / solutions, scoring / rubrics, environment readiness, cleanup, and time-to-complete.

Verify question types, difficulty, and Bloom’s level alignment for lessons, quizzes, and labs.

Create and maintain QA plans, checklists, and test cases; run smoke / regression tests on content updates.

Perform negative and edge-case testing; document reproducible defects with severity, repro steps, and suggested fixes.

Ensure style-guide adherence, accessibility basics, and localization readiness; perform link / dependency audits.

Collaborate with the course creation team (Project Manager, Senior Trainers / SMEs, Designer, Video Editor, Labs Manager) to ship high-quality releases on schedule. [Teams and rituals aligned with pages 1–4]

Participate in daily syncs, weekly reviews, and provide progress / blocker updates; maintain courses post-launch with updates and improvements.

Contribute automation where feasible (linters, link checkers, CLI / version drift checks, lab validation scripts via CI). Use AI to assist where possible.

Jump in and get your hands dirty if needed - for example build some labs / craft training if needed.

Are a detail oriented person with high focus and concentration levels and able to capture small details that are missing or can be improved.

Demonstrates ownership and accountability — tracking defects to resolution and ensuring closure before release.

Strong hands-on skills : Linux, networking fundamentals, containers / Kubernetes, at least one public cloud (AWS / Azure / GCP).

Comfort validating CLI commands, YAML (Kubernetes manifests), scripts (Bash / Python / PowerShell), and IaC (Terraform).

Experience with Git / GitHub (branching, PR reviews), Markdown / docs-as-code, Jira / Confluence (or similar).

Familiarity with lab platforms (e.g., Instruqt, Qwiklabs / Skill Builder, Azure Lab Services) or custom K8s clusters (kind / minikube / k3d).

Ability to map content to certification objectives and calibrate difficulty using Bloom’s taxonomy.

Willingness to pursue certifications (CKA / CKAD / CKS, Golden Kubestronaut, AWS / Azure / GCP, Linux) to validate technical level when needed.

Openness to use AI tools to aid reviews and improve efficiency.

Flexibility to jump in and get your hands dirty if needed - for example build some labs / craft trainings if needed.

Bonus points :

Holds one or more relevant certifications : CKA, CKAD, CKS, AWS Solutions Architect, Azure Administrator, or GCP Associate Engineer.

Demonstrated hands-on experience building or maintaining Kubernetes clusters, rather than only using them.

Experience designing or reviewing hands-on labs or training content for platforms like KodeKloud, Instruqt, Qwiklabs, or Katacoda or other similar platforms. .

Practical experience in DevOps pipelines (CI / CD tools such as GitHub Actions, Jenkins, or GitLab CI).

Familiarity with IaC validation tools (e.g., terraform validate, tflint, checkov, or kubeval).

Experience working asynchronously across time zones with distributed teams.

Has collaborated in cross-functional teams (trainers, designers, editors, engineers) to deliver learning products.

Naturally curious and enjoys “breaking things to make them better.”

Demonstrates growth mindset — open to learning new technologies rapidly.

Balances perfectionism with pragmatism — knows when something is “done enough” to ship.

Shares insights or improvements proactively — e.g., suggesting new QA automation ideas.
