Job descriptiona. Education & Qualifications : Essential : Bachelor’s degree in IT, Computer Science, Engineering, or related discipline. Desirable : Certifications in project management, software development, or Agile methodologies. b. Experience : Essential : Minimum 7 years experience managing software development teams. Essential : Demonstrable expertise in managing complex software development projects and extensions. Essential : Experience in logistics, supply chain platforms, or similar industries. c. Specialist Knowledge & Skills : Essential : proven expertise on Manhattan Active WMS, including exposure to Pro-Active, Config Director and Manhattan Active GO, IBM Cognos reporting. Essential : Deep knowledge of software development processes, methodologies, and lifecycle management. Essential : Proficient in development planning, resource management, and quality assurance practices. Desirable : Familiarity with Agile and DevOps methodologies.
Job Purpose
The Development Manager is responsible for overseeing the development of product extensions, reports, labels, and other platform enhancements, ensuring timely delivery and alignment with strategic objectives.
Key Accountabilities
- Manage and coordinate development activities, ensuring alignment with business requirements and strategic objectives.
- Develop, maintain, and enforce a comprehensive Development RunBook.
- Plan, schedule, and monitor development tasks and timelines to meet project milestones.
- Collaborate closely with Product Owners, Technical Architects, and QA teams for efficient development cycles.
- Facilitate continuous improvement and innovation in development practices and methodologies.
