Key Responsibilities
Managing the proposal / quotation process to submit the same on time to the respective BD representative.
Understanding the RFPs / QIFs in details, asking the queries whenever required.
Guide the team members to define the pricing strategy (mapping, development etc) to complete the submission within stipulated time.
Ensure that all the pricing and proposals are reviewed properly so that error free proposal is submitted to the customer.
Ensure that all the proposals are compared with defined matrices and if daviation is seen then to be discussed with the concerned members so that win rates are achieved.
Challenge the team members to get better pricings / proposals to the customer which can help improve the win rates.
Work with senior members of different CFTs to discuss the proposals and get their acceptance on the pricig as well as proposals.
Ensure that defined processes are followed and deviations are brought up for the discussion.
Drive the team members to meet OTIF targets.
Ensure that all the requirements are fulfilled which are needed for MIS preparation.
Organizing the meeting with CFT once RFP / QIF is floated to the team to get their questions which then to be clarified with customer through respective BD member.
Working closely with the CFTs who are involved in the quotation / proposal to get their inputs and converting in the costing / pricing.
Making the proposal based on the enquiry by taking inputs from CFTs.
Organizing review meetings with CTFs and senior members to get the suggestions and guidance.
Technical & Functional competencies :
Should be able to manage own team members effectively as well as work in collaborative manner with CFT members.
Should have good understanding the of the Pre-sales process
Should possess good understanding of chemistry and unit operations involved in typical synthetic process
Should have basic understanding of costing and the way it is done
Qualification : MSc (Chemistry) / B Tech (Chemical) / M Tech (Chemical), MBA is added advantage
Experience : 15-20 years
