A US Based IT MNC is looking for Project Manager - Personal Information Protection Act (PIPA) Project
Bermuda Equivalent of GDPR) for one of their Banking Client based in Bermuda.
Their Client is a Reputed Bank who are looking for Project Manager to handle PIPA project.
As Project Manager for the PIPA (Personal Information Protection Act) compliance initiative, the individual will be responsible for end-to-end planning, execution, and delivery of Clarien Bank’s compliance program in alignment with Bermuda equivalent data protection regulations, which are modeled closely on the European Union’s GDPR framework.
Work Mode : Remote
Shift Timings : 5 : 30 PM - 1 : 30 AM (Indian Time)
Key Responsibilities :
- Lead the implementation of the PIPA compliance framework across all business units within Clarien Bank.
- Conduct a comprehensive assessment of current data privacy policies, systems, and processes to identify gaps against PIPA requirements.
- Work with Legal, Risk, IT Security, Compliance, and Business Units to define and implement appropriate controls for data collection, storage, access, and sharing.
- Oversee the development of data mapping and inventory to identify all personal data processed by the organization.
- Establish governance structures, reporting mechanisms, and escalation paths to ensure compliance tracking and accountability.
- Manage vendor relationships and third-party assessments related to data processing and privacy.
- Design and facilitate training and awareness programs for staff on data protection principles and responsibilities under PIPA.
- Prepare project plans, status reports, risk registers, and ensure timely delivery within budget and scope.
- Serve as the primary liaison between internal stakeholders and regulatory bodies regarding PIPA-related matters.
Skills and Experience Required :
Proven experience managing regulatory or compliance-driven projects, preferably in the financial services sector.In-depth understanding of data privacy regulations (PIPA, GDPR, or similar).Strong stakeholder management, communication, and documentation skills.Ability to translate legal and regulatory requirements into actionable business processes.Experience with change management and business process re-engineering is an advantage.
