Data Protection Specialist

Location - Gurgaon (Onsite)

Join Saxo Group as a Data Protection Specialist, a pivotal role within our Digital Trust, Privacy & Data Protection Department. Based in India, you will be responsible for implementing data protection laws such as GDPR, the DPDP Act in India, and other relevant regulations. Your role will be crucial, and it is within the 1st line of defense in ensuring that Saxo Group maintains its commitment to data privacy and protection across all operations.

As a Data Protection Specialist, you will work closely with various stakeholders to ensure compliance with data protection regulations and to enhance our overall Digital Trust framework. You will be part of a dynamic team dedicated to safeguarding our clients' data and privacy.

Responsibilities

• Implement and ensure compliance with data protection laws such as GDPR, DPDP Act in India, and other applicable regulations.
• Develop and maintain data protection procedures and standards to align with regulatory requirements and security strategies.
• Continuously monitor and assess data protection risks and data protection metrics.
• Enhance control matrix within privacy and data protection.
• Conduct RoPA assessments and ensure timely delivery of identified deviations.
• Conduct regular control monitoring and testing to identify and mitigate data protection risks.
• Align data protection strategies with the bank's objectives and regulatory requirements.
• Work with project teams and stakeholders to align data protection solutions and process improvements.
• Collaborate with colleagues on information protection initiatives and issues.
• Support training and awareness initiatives to help the organization understand how to protect and handle data.
• Foster a culture of data protection and privacy within the team and across the organization.
