Senior Cloud Engineer (AWS + GCP) – Infrastructure Owner & Cost Optimizer Location : Hyderabad

About the Role We are looking for a hands-on Senior Cloud Engineer who treats cloud infrastructure as a product and owns it end-to-end. You will be single-handedly responsible for architecture, security, cost, reliability, and velocity of everything that runs in AWS and GCP.

This is NOT a “ticket-closing” cloud support role. This is an owner-level position where you design, implement, govern, and continuously optimize multi-cloud infrastructure that powers a mission-critical healthcare product processing billions of rupees in claims.

What You’ll Own Full ownership of AWS and GCP environments (VPC, Compute, Storage, Networking, Security)

IAM & least-privilege governance at scale (IAM roles, SCPs, Resource Policies, Permission Boundaries, GCP Organization Policies)

Landing zone & multi-account strategy (AWS Organizations + Control Tower or custom, GCP Folders & Projects hierarchy)

Cloud cost optimization & FinOps – target of 25–40 % monthly savings without sacrificing performance (Commit Savings Plans, RIs, Spot, GCP Committed Use Discounts, custom dashboards, alerts)

Billing alarms, budgeting, tagging enforcement, anomaly detection

CI / CD pipelines (GitHub Actions, AWS CodePipeline / CodeBuild, Google Cloud Build, ArgoCD, Terraform Cloud or similar)

Infrastructure as Code – Terraform (must), CloudFormation / CDK bonus

Observability & monitoring (CloudWatch, Prometheus+Grafana, GCP Operations Suite, Datadog / NewRelic welcome)

Security & compliance hardening (GuardDuty, Security Hub, Config, GCP Security Command Center, SCPs, encryption-at-rest & in-transit)

Disaster recovery, backup strategies, and chaos engineering practices

Developer experience – self-service environments, golden paths, internal platform tools

Must-Have Skills & Experience 3+ years of deep, production-grade experience with AWS and GCP (you’ve managed both in real projects)

• At least one active certification : AWS Solutions Architect Professional or GCP Professional Cloud Architect (preferred);

Associate level accepted if experience is very strong

Proven track record of reducing cloud bills by 30 %+ in previous roles (show us the numbers!)

Expert-level Terraform (modules, remote state, workspaces, providers)

Strong CI / CD implementation experience (GitHub Actions is a big plus)

Solid scripting (Python / Bash) and Linux systems knowledge

Experience with containers (Docker, ECS, EKS, GKE, Cloud Run)

Excellent communication – you can explain complex billing reports to founders and teach junior devs best practices

Nice-to-Have Experience with FinOps tools (Cloudability, CloudHealth, AWS Cost Explorer advanced features, GCP Billing exports + BigQuery)

CDK or Pulumi experience

Background in healthcare or fintech (extra points)

Contributions to open-source cloud projects
