Network Support Engineer | FINJO I991

We are seeking a skilled and proactive Senior Network Engineer to design, implement,

and manage a highly available and secure network infrastructure spanning multiple

technologies and vendors. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with

routing, switching, firewalls, VPNs, and advanced redundancy protocols.

Key Responsibilities :

Configure and maintain enterprise networks using Cisco and FortiGate equipment.

Deploy and troubleshoot Layer 2 and Layer 3 technologies : STP, RSTP, VTP, VLANs,

HSRP, VRRP.

Manage and monitor BGP sessions, route-maps, AS-path policies, and failover routing

strategies.

Implement VPN solutions (Site-to-Site, SSL, IPSec) and manage remote access

policies.

Maintain high availability using technologies like MLAG (Multi-Chassis LAG), VSS

(Virtual Switching System), and Port-Channel.

Secure and segment networks using firewalls, ACLs, and advanced FortiGate UTM

features.

Collaborate with internal teams and external vendors for upgrades, migrations, and

incident response.

Monitor network performance, perform root cause analysis, and optimize infrastructure.

Document topologies, configurations, and standard operating procedures (SOPs).

Required Skills & Qualifications :

Strong understanding of L2 / L3 protocols and enterprise networking standards.

Proven expertise with Cisco IOS / NX-OS and FortiOS.

Hands-on experience with BGP, VPN, STP, VTP, and VLAN planning.

Familiarity with MLAG, VSS, and high-availability network designs.

Experience in troubleshooting complex routing and firewall scenarios.

Working knowledge of network monitoring tools (e.g., Observium, NetFlow, SNMP).

CCNP / CCIE or NSE certifications preferred.

Nice to Have :

Exposure to datacenter interconnect, VXLAN, EVPN, or SD-WAN.

Experience with automation using Python or Ansible for network tasks.
