Technical Lead - AI / ML

Key Responsibilities

Technology Leadership & Architecture

Define the technical architecture for the AI product and supporting systems.

Make key decisions on tech stack, cloud infrastructure, security, scalability, and integration patterns.

Translate business requirements into technical specifications.

Ensure best practices in coding, testing, CI / CD, and DevOps.

Hands-on Development

Develop core backend / frontend modules of the product.

Build and integrate AI / ML components with APIs, data pipelines, and production workflows.

Perform code reviews, implement quality standards, and ensure robust documentation.

AI & Data Engineering

Collaborate with AI engineers, data scientists (internal or external partners).

Implement model integrations, vector databases, embedding pipelines, and agent workflows.

Oversee data ingestion, data cleaning, data governance, and storage infrastructure.

Required Skills & Experience

7–10 years of experience in software engineering, with at least 2–3 years in a technical leadership role.

Strong expertise in backend development (Node.js, Python, Java, or similar).

Experience with AI / ML technologies :

LLMs, embeddings, vector databases (Pinecone, Weaviate, Chroma)

Model integration (OpenAI, Anthropic, Llama, etc.)

Prompt engineering and agent frameworks

Experience in frontend frameworks (React, Angular, Vue) is a plus.

Solid cloud experience with AWS / Azure.

Strong understanding of DevOps pipelines, containerization (Docker), orchestration (Kubernetes), and CI / CD.

Experience building scalable SaaS products.

Ability to work independently in an environment without an existing IT structure.

Excellent communication, problem-solving, and ownership mindset.
