Description
- Design and develop highly scalable and maintainable database-driven and microservice-based components, leveraging Java and Oracle Autonomous AI Database technologies.
- Architect and optimize data models, schemas
- Develop and maintain Java microservices using modern frameworks, ensuring robust integration with OCI services and Oracle Autonomous AI Database.
- Implement and optimize PL / SQL procedures, indexing strategies, and queries for performance and scalability in multi-tenant environments.
- Automate schema deployments, tenant provisioning, and database lifecycle operations to improve operational efficiency.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Dev, DevOps, and other engineering groups) to ensure high-quality, secure, and timely software delivery.
- Work on both control-plane and data-plane components, focusing on reliability, observability, and high availability (HA).
- Perform code and SQL reviews, driving improvements in design, performance, and maintainability.
- Leverage OCI cloud-native tools and infrastructure to build resilient, containerized deployments using Kubernetes and Docker.
- Stay current with advancements in Oracle Autonomous AI Database, Java frameworks, and OCI cloud technologies to continuously improve system design and developer productivity.
Responsibilities
You will play a key role in designing and delivering the next generation of Oracle IoT platform components on OCI. You will work across the database, Java microservices, and cloud infrastructure layers to build scalable, reliable, and performant systems.
Qualifications
Education
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.Experience
3+ years of software development experienceCore Skills
Oracle Autonomous AI Database : schema design, indexing, partitioning, PL / SQL development, query tuning, and performance optimization.Java programming with a strong understanding of design principles, concurrency, and microservices architecture.Experience with frameworks such as Micronaut or Helidon.Data modeling and storage design for large-scale distributed or IoT systems.Experience with major cloud platforms (OCI preferred; AWS, Azure, or GCP acceptable).Docker and Kubernetes for containerization and orchestration of Java and database-integrated workloads.Cloud networking and security fundamentals, including VCNs, IAM policies, encryption, and data protection.Version control and CI / CD tools such as GIT and Maven.Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills across both application and database layers.
