Senior Manager, Technical Services, South Asia

The Senior Manager – Technical Services will lead the Technical Services function for Radisson Hotel Group in South Asia, overseeing all Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing (MEP) and Fire & Life Safety (FLS) engineering activities from project inception to hotel opening. This role is responsible for driving technical excellence across new builds, major renovation (CAPEX) projects, conversions, and ongoing operational support for portfolio hotels. The position ensures alignment with ESG (Environmental and Sustainability Governance) standards while guiding Energy and Water efficiency initiatives across properties. This role requires strong leadership, technical expertise, and the ability to manage diverse stakeholders, including hotel chief engineers, consultants, contractors, and internal teams across the region.

Key Responsibilities

Technical Leadership & Project Management

Lead the Technical Services function for Radisson Hotel Group across South Asia.

Provide MEP and FLS engineering guidance from project concept stage through design development, construction, commissioning, and hotel opening.

Oversee and ensure compliance with RHG technical standards, global brand guidelines, and regional statutory requirements.

Review and approve design documents, detailed engineering drawings, tender packages, Bill of Quantities, and project specifications.

Manage technical coordination for new builds and major renovation (CAPEX) projects to ensure timely, cost-effective, and high-quality delivery.

Conduct Technical Feasibility Assessments for conversion opportunities, including Project Improvement Plans (PIP) and Potential Property Reviews (PPR).

ESG, Energy & Sustainability

Support the integration of ESG principles in project design, including sustainable materials, water and energy efficiency, and carbon reduction strategies.

Conduct energy audits and recommend improvements for operational efficiency across hotels.

Ensure compliance with sustainability goals and regulatory environmental standards.

Operational Support & Team Management

Provide ongoing technical and engineering support to operational hotels across the region.

Lead and support a team of Chief Engineers managing property-level engineering operations.

Guide the team in preventive maintenance, equipment lifecycle planning, compliance, and safety audits.

Strengthen engineering standards across hotels through training, audits, and performance monitoring.

Stakeholder & Client Engagement

Build and maintain strong relationships with internal teams, owners, consultants, vendors, and cross-functional teams.

Lead client interactions for MEP services, including concept design, technical presentations, and project approvals.

Support negotiations, contractor onboarding, and vendor selection processes.

Oversee technical service delivery for diverse property types

Innovation & Cost Efficiency

Develop and implement technical solutions that improve engineering efficiency and reduce operational costs.

Drive continuous improvement initiatives across Technical Services and Engineering Operations.

Monitor budgets and ensure cost control measures without compromising design or safety.

Skills & Competencies

Strong expertise in MEP (Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing) and Fire & Life Safety engineering

Knowledge of Energy Audits, Sustainability, and ESG frameworks

Hands-on experience in Property Improvement Plans (PIP) and hotel conversion assessments

Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Project or equivalent project management tools

Strong design management capability, including review and execution of MEP concepts

Excellent cost management, budgeting, and commercial negotiation skills

Ability to lead large teams and manage multi-site operations

Strong stakeholder management, communication, and leadership presence

Ability to interpret and apply international codes, bylaws, and engineering standards

Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical / Electrical Engineering or equivalent;

Master’s preferred.

8–15 years of experience managing MEP / FLS engineering for large-scale hospitality or commercial projects.

Proven leadership experience managing multi-property engineering operations.

Strong exposure to hotel development, technical services, project management, and CAPEX planning.
