Role & Responsibilities
The Assistant Manager - Community Development will support the planning, execution, and monitoring of CSR initiatives aligned with Yara's CSR Policy. The role focuses on strengthening community impact across education, health, livelihood, women empowerment, and infrastructure development. The position requires field engagement, partnership building, and strong managerial capabilities to ensure high-quality implementation.

CSR Planning & Implementation
- Identify, design, and implement CSR projects aligned with approved objectives.
- Develop project plans, timelines, budgets, and monitoring frameworks.
- Role involves both field and office responsibilities, with regular visits to monitor progress, validate data, engage with communities, and guide implementation teams.
- Ensure delivery of project outcomes within defined scope, timelines, and quality parameters.
- Coordinate with internal departments such as Finance, Administration, Materials, and Corporate Communication, ensuring smooth project-related processes.
Team Support & Capacity Building
Provide technical and operational support to the Kiran team and field staff.Oversee daily activities of field teams and ensure alignment with project goals.Mentor and develop team members conduct training need assessments and organize capacity-building sessions.Act as reviewer for direct reportees during performance appraisal cycles.Documentation, Reporting & Compliance
Maintain structured CSR documentation, SOPs, MIS, and ISO-requirement-related processes.Prepare project progress reports, impact assessments, proposals, LFAs, case studies, success stories, and presentations.Ensure accurate data analysis and timely reporting to internal leaders and external partners.Support legal and compliance processes related to CSR, financial management, and statutory guidelines.Partnerships, Stakeholder Engagement & Resource Mobilization
Engage with local communities, farmer groups, SHGs, NGOs, government departments, and other institutions.Build and maintain effective partnerships to leverage resources and enhance programme impact.Represent Yara CSR in meetings, forums, and external platforms.Mobilize resources through agencies such as NABARD, government bodies, and donor organizations.Promote Yara's brand and visibility within community and sectoral networks.Preferred Knowledge & Skills
Strong understanding of rural development and social sector programmes.Excellent planning, budgeting, monitoring, and project management skills.Strong interpersonal, communication (English & Hindi), and negotiation capabilities.Ability to work independently and lead diverse field teams.Proficiency in MS Office ability to manage MIS and analyze quantitative / qualitative data.Awareness of CSR regulations, financial processes, ISO standards, and basic legal compliances.Ability to engage with multiple community segments and communicate across cultural contexts.Education & Experience
Education : Master's degree in Rural Management, Rural Development, Development Studies, or related fields. Preferably from institutions such as IRMA, XISS, XIMB, or equivalent. Consistent academic performance with a minimum of 60% marks.Experience : 2-4 years of relevant experience in CSR, development projects, or community engagement roles.Experience working with NGOs, government bodies, or community-based institutions preferred.Experience in managing teams and stakeholder relationships will be an advantage.Contact details
