Position Overview
The US IT Recruiter is responsible for sourcing, screening, and hiring qualified technology professionals for State Government client requirements across various U.S. states. This role requires strong understanding of State procurement processes, Vendor Management Systems (VMS), staffing regulations, rate structures, and compliance requirements relevant to government contracts.
Key Responsibilities
1. Requirement Analysis & Client Coordination
- Review and analyze State Government client job descriptions (e.g., from State VMS portals) to understand skills, experience, and mandatory requirements.
- Coordinate closely with Account Managers, Client Partners, and State PMs to clarify job expectations.
- Prioritize urgent positions and manage multiple requisitions across different states.
2. Candidate Sourcing
Source candidates using :Job boards (Dice, Monster, CareerBuilder, Indeed)Social platforms (LinkedIn, GitHub)Internal databasesReferralsTarget candidates experienced in government projects and with necessary clearances (if applicable).3. Screening & Evaluation
Conduct preliminary screening to evaluate :Technical skillsExperience with State agenciesCompliance with Must-Have requirementsEmployment eligibility (W2, C2C, 1099)Communication skills and cultural fitEnsure candidates meet all mandatory state submission guidelines.4. Interview Coordination
Schedule interviews between candidates, hiring managers, and internal teams.Prepare candidates by explaining interview format, agency expectations, and role responsibilities.Maintain communication through each stage of the interview process.5. Documentation & Compliance
Ensure submission packages include all required documents :Candidate formsSkills matrixRate confirmationResume in State-compliant formatID proofs and certificationsTrack and maintain compliance standards such as background checks, e-verify, drug tests, reference checks, etc.6. Submission & Tracking
Submit candidates to State VMS platforms (e.g., Beeline, Salesforce, PeopleSoft-based portals, ValuePoint, etc.).Track submittals, interviews, feedback, and placements.Maintain accurate and up-to-date recruitment reports.Required Skills & Qualifications
2–3+ years of US IT recruitment experience, preferably in State Government staffing .Strong knowledge of :VMS portals and MSP processesUS tax terms (W2, C2C, 1099)Visa classifications (USC, GC, H1B, OPT / CPT, L2, EAD, TN)Excellent communication and negotiation skills.Ability to handle a high volume of requisitions with tight deadlines.Familiarity with time zones and ability to work during US business hours.Preferred Experience
Working with multiple US State clients (e.g., Texas, Georgia, Virginia, California, North Carolina, New York, etc.).
