Key Responsibilities
Maintenance Program Management : Develop, implement, and oversee preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance programs for all automated framing equipment.
Troubleshooting and Repair : Lead the diagnosis and resolution of complex electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, and automation-related issues (PLC, SCADA, instrumentation) in the framing machines to minimize unscheduled breakdowns.
Team Leadership and Supervision : Supervise, mentor, and train a team of engineers and technicians across shifts, ensuring all maintenance activities are executed safely and efficiently.
Equipment Performance Optimization : Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) such as Overall Equipment Efficiency (OEE), Mean Time To Repair (MTTR), and Mean Time Between Failures (MTBF), and drive continuous improvement initiatives (Kaizen, RCA, CAPA) to enhance machine reliability and reduce costs.
Spare Parts and Inventory Management : Manage the inventory of critical spare parts, coordinate procurement with vendors, negotiate pricing, and explore indigenization of spares to ensure timely availability and cost efficiency.
Safety and Compliance : Ensure strict adherence to all Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) policies, including Lockout / Tagout (LOTO) procedures, work permit systems, and other safety protocols.
Documentation and Reporting : Maintain detailed maintenance records, prepare daily / monthly reports, downtime analyses, and failure analysis reports for management review.
Installation & Commissioning Support : Provide technical support during the installation and commissioning of new framing lines or equipment upgrades.
Inter-departmental Coordination : Collaborate closely with production, quality assurance, and project teams to align maintenance schedules with production targets and ensure seamless operations.
Qualifications and Skills
Education : A Bachelor's degree or Diploma in Electrical, Mechanical, or Electronics Engineering or a related field.
Experience : 10 to 12+ years Proven experience in a maintenance role within a manufacturing environment, preferably in the solar or semiconductor industry, with specific experience in automated production lines.
Technical Skills : Strong knowledge of automation systems, PLCs (e.g., Siemens, Delta), electrical drawings, pneumatic systems, and mechanical components.
Profile & Eligible Criteria :
Education : Diploma / B. Tech (Electrical / Mechanical) from a reputed engineering college
Experience : At least 5-12 years of relevant post qualification experience in Module component industry.
Experience in JINCHEN automation line (including Layup, EL, lamination, Framing and conveyors) and module testing machines.
Must have experience in cross functional departmental communication.
