General requirements :
- Training, experience and skills in conducting audits
- Training, experience and skills in incident investigation
- Training, experience and skills in risk management;
- Excellent knowledge of PMP SOFTWARE
- Fully Conversant with relevant parts of ISM Code and internal procedures
- Good command of the English Language
- Knowledge of applicable rules and regulations
- Good controlling, communication skills, team player
- Knowledge about purchasing and budget cost control
- Excellent Technical knowledge of assigned ships
Job Description :
Assess the understanding of ISM Code of all staff through ship visits, informal meetings and seminars as appropriate.Identifying training needs during ship visits and providing such training where practicalConducting investigations of Technical related incidentsConducting Technical inspection, Energy and Environmental Audit, Internal Audit on a requested shipsEnsuring the safe and economic operation of ships allocated to himProviding the technical advice to the ship and Fleet Team membersImplementing and monitoring compliance with the Company’s internal procedures relevant to the shipboard and Fleet Team activitiesMonitoring on a daily basis of performance, technical and operational conditions of ships allocated to him and take a corrective measures, when necessaryPreparing a reports on managers request for assigned vesselsEnsuring prudent financial managementBudgeting, running cost monitoring on assigned vessels. Keep within Owners approved BudgetArranging for repairs, modifications and dry dockings with proper reportingEnsuring that the ships are fully certified according to international standards and requirementsPreparing technical reports to owners in compliance with the management agreementEnsuring that the ships are maintaining a Class(s) according to Rules and RegulationsMonitoring a status ofall vessels’ CertificatesEncouraging and developing a strong safety culture and environmental awareness onboard ships assigned to himProviding support to the shipboard management in respect of technical and operational mattersThe Technical Team is responsible for the technical management of the vessels under full management in compliance with the Company’s internal procedures. The responsibility covers the planned maintenance of the vessels, the planning and execution of dry-dockings, the classification and statutory certification.
The Technical Team is particularly responsible for :
Monitoring effectiveness of the Company’s internal procedures onboard each vessel and ensuring that each vessel operates to the standard set by the Company and to the standard expected of the company by the customersArranging and supervising dry dockings, repairs alterations and the maintenance of the vessel to the standards agreed by the ownersEnsuring that the vessel complies with all requirements and recommendations of the classification society, and with the law of the flag state and of the places where the vessel is required to tradeEstablish maintenance standards so that all vessels in the fleet are capable of operating safely without an incident or detentionAppointing surveyors and technical consultants, as necessaryEvaluating purchasing Company Group level contractsTo ensure that contractors and subcontractors perform in a manner that is consistent and compatible with the Company’s policies and business objectivesDevelop a proactive approach to environmental management that includes identification of sources of marine and atmospheric pollution, and measures for the reduction of potential impacts, both onboard and ashoreRepresenting the Company at industry forums
