Job Summary

We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Purchase Executive to manage procurement activities within the Cosmetics Division of a pharmaceutical company. The ideal candidate will be responsible for sourcing high-quality raw materials packaging items and consumables aligning with production needs inventory targets and compliance requirements (GMP FDA etc.). This role demands strong negotiation skills vendor management expertise and operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

Source and procure raw materials active ingredients fragrances and packaging components for cosmetic product manufacturing.

Prepare issue and track Purchase Orders (POs) in alignment with production schedules and inventory forecasts.

Negotiate pricing delivery terms and quality parameters with existing and new vendors.

Ensure procurement activities comply with internal SOPs GMP and cosmetic regulatory standards.

Collaborate with QA / QC departments to ensure incoming materials meet defined specifications.

Maintain accurate procurement documentation and vendor records for audits and inspections.

Monitor stock levels and reorder points using ERP / Marg or Inventory Management Systems.

Coordinate logistics and delivery timelines to avoid production delays.

Evaluate vendor performance based on price quality and delivery metrics; identify alternative sources when needed.

Contribute to cost-saving initiatives price benchmarking and procurement process improvements.

Educational Qualifications

Bachelor s Degree in Pharmacy Science Commerce or a related discipline.

Preferred : Diploma in Materials Management / Procurement / Supply Chain.

Advantageous : MBA in Operations or Supply Chain Management.

Skills & Competencies Required

Strong understanding of cosmetics / pharma raw materials (e.g. emulsifiers preservatives fragrances).

Knowledge of GMP FDA and cosmetic-specific regulatory procurement processes.

Proficiency in MS Excel ERP systems (e.g. Marg) and inventory tools.

Excellent negotiation and vendor management capabilities.

Strong analytical documentation and organizational skills.

Ability to multitask and prioritize under tight production timelines.

Team collaboration and coordination with cross-functional departments.

Communication skills in English and Hindi are mandatory; Kannada and Marathi are preferred.
