As Manager - Geo-Spatial Technology, you will lead the design, execution, and management of GIS-based initiatives in support of land record modernization and related projects. The role involves applying geospatial analysis, database integration, and advanced cartographic practices aligned with national geospatial policies.
Key Responsibilities :
- Design and implement GIS applications to meet programme objectives and stakeholder requirements.
- Utilize GIS software (ArcGIS, QGIS, etc.) for mapping, spatial data analysis, and database management.
- Digitize and geo-reference cadastral maps using high-resolution satellite imagery (HRSI).
- Integrate spatial and non-spatial data for robust, connected data management and analytics.
- Develop and maintain high-quality cartographic products adhering to mapping standards.
- Conduct data verification, quality control, and ensure accuracy and consistency in outputs.
- Plan and conduct field training on GIS mapping and survey techniques.
- Ensure GIS interoperability across documents, spreadsheets, and databases.
- Support National Geospatial Policy implementation and standardization of land parcel data.
- Supervise GIS equipment usage and ensure its proper operation.
- Respond to additional responsibilities as assigned by DoLR officials.
Work Experience Required :
Minimum 5 years of experience managing and executing GIS-related projects.Proven proficiency in ArcGIS, QGIS, and other GIS tools for spatial data processing, mapping, and database administration.Educational Qualifications :
Bachelor's degree in Engineering / Technology (Civil, Computer Science, Geomatics, or related fields) from a recognized institution.GATE qualification and certification in GIS / Data Analysis are desirable.ref : hirist.tech)
