We are seeking an experienced Data Engineer with strong hands-on expertise in Microsoft Fabric to design, build, and maintain scalable data solutions supporting global clients.
About the Role
The ideal candidate will have at least 4 years of data engineering experience with proven ability to implement robust data pipelines, optimize performance, and collaborate with cross-functional teams. The role involves working closely with stakeholders to enable advanced analytics, reporting, and data-driven decision-making across distributed environments.
Responsibilities
Design, develop, and maintain end-to-end data pipelines using Microsoft Fabric, including Data Factory, Lakehouse, Data Engineering, and Data Activator.
Implement data ingestion, transformation, and processing solutions for large-scale, structured and semi-structured datasets.
Optimize data workflows for performance, reliability, scalability, and cost efficiency.
Collaborate with data analysts, data scientists, and business stakeholders to support analytics, BI, and reporting needs.
Ensure data quality, governance, security, and regulatory compliance across all data processes and environments.
Monitor, troubleshoot, and continuously improve data pipelines and platforms, following best practices in documentation and version control.
Qualifications
Minimum 4+ years of experience as a Data Engineer working with large-scale data solutions.
Required Skills
Strong, hands-on experience with Microsoft Fabric (Data Factory, Lakehouse, Data Engineering, Data Activator).
Solid understanding of data warehousing concepts, ETL / ELT workflows, and data modeling.
Strong proficiency in SQL and Python for data processing and automation.
Good understanding of cloud data engineering (preferably Azure) and its native services.
Excellent problem-solving, communication, and stakeholder collaboration skills.
Preferred Skills
Experience with Azure Data Factory, Azure Synapse, Azure Data Lake, or Databricks.
Exposure to data governance, data security, and compliance frameworks.
Experience integrating data from multiple on-premises and cloud sources.
Familiarity with CI / CD, DevOps practices, and version control for data projects.
Relevant Microsoft certifications (e.g., Fabric Data Engineer Associate, Azure Data Engineer).
