Role Overview
The Program Manager serves as the central leadership position for the statewide IEC (Information, Education and Communication) and Behaviour Change Communication programme. The role ensures complete planning, supervision, coordination, quality control, and reporting of all project activities under SBM Urban 2.0.
Key Responsibilities
- Act as the focal point of the project, ensuring coordination across all functional units including content, design, production, field teams, and ULB stakeholders.
- Lead the planning of communication strategies , behaviour change interventions, and IEC activities in alignment with mission objectives.
- Manage timelines, scheduling, and workflow execution for all deliverables including multimedia content, print collaterals, wall paintings, campaigns, events, workshops, and training programs.
- Oversee preparation of scripts, concepts, plans, and execution guidelines for IEC material.
- Coordinate with ULBs, state officials, district functionaries, and technical teams to ensure smooth implementation of activities.
- Review, validate, and approve all IEC outputs including creatives, videos, documents, case studies, social content, and reports prior to submission.
- Supervise field-based communication initiatives and ensure accurate documentation , including photographs, short videos, event reports, beneficiary stories, success cases, and training material.
- Ensure compliance with all formats and deliverable standards defined by UDA&HD.
- Facilitate preparation of progress reports, monthly summaries, campaign documentation , and MIS updates.
Required Skills and Competencies
Proven ability to lead complex public-sector communication programs.Strong project management, coordination, and stakeholder engagement capabilities.Understanding of behaviour change communication, sanitation messaging, and government reporting structures.Ability to supervise multidisciplinary teams.Qualifications & Experience :
MBA or PG Diploma in Social or Development SectorMinimum of 10 years of experience
