Job Title : Asbestos Supervisor
About the Role :
A leading national environmental services contractor is seeking an experienced and proactive Asbestos Supervisor to join their Darwin-based team. This is a fantastic opportunity to take a leadership role on a range of asbestos removal and remediation projects within the defence sector , based locally in the Darwin region.
In this position, you'll oversee licensed asbestos removal operations, ensuring work is delivered safely, on time, and to the highest standards of compliance and professionalism.
Key Responsibilities :
- Supervise Class A (friable and non-friable) asbestos removal works on defence and infrastructure projects
- Lead and coordinate site teams and subcontractors
- Conduct risk assessments, toolbox talks, and ensure compliance with WHS and NT WorkSafe regulations
- Manage site documentation including SWMS, clearance reports, and daily logs
- Communicate effectively with defence clients, consultants, and internal stakeholders
- Maintain strict adherence to safety, security, and environmental standards required for defence works
