Job descriptionDesign and implement backup and recovery strategies using RMAN or other tools. Manage disaster recovery plans and ensure database availability and resilience. Implement database security policies, including user management, access controls, and encryption. Perform audits to ensure compliance with security standards. Identify and resolve performance bottlenecks. Optimize database queries, indexes, and configurations for efficient operations. Handle database incidents, root cause analysis, and problem resolution. Provide support for database issues and ensure minimal downtime. Apply database patches and updates as required. Maintain database software and hardware compatibility. Prepare and maintain detailed documentation for database configurations, processes, and procedures. Provide knowledge transfer and training to other team members. Technical Skills : Proficiency in Oracle 11g / 12c / 19c database administration. Hands-on experience with Oracle RAC, ASM, and Data Guard. Strong knowledge of SQL and PL / SQL programming. Expertise in tools like RMAN, OEM, and database performance monitoring utilities. Other Skills : Familiarity with Linux / Unix operating systems. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Excellent communication and teamwork abilities. Experience with cloud-based Oracle solutions such as Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI). Knowledge of other database technologies like MySQL, PostgreSQL, or SQL Server. Certification in Oracle Database Administration is a plus.
