Description : Role Overview :
The Presales Consultant will manage end-to-end presales activities including quotation preparation, documentation, customer coordination, order booking support, and execution follow-up.
The role demands strong communication, analytical skills, and the ability to build effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities (KRA) :
- Prepare and share accurate quotations with customers based on provided specifications and pricing guidelines.
- Coordinate with internal teams to book sales orders and ensure correct generation of invoices, e-invoices, and e-way bills following standard SOPs.
- Follow up with customers for pending quotations, order execution formalities, and payment collections.
- Maintain strong customer engagement to ensure timely updates, issue resolution, and high service satisfaction.
- Prepare, analyze, and maintain MIS reports, WIP reports, and other presales documentation for management review.
- Track and maintain engineers visit data, service reports, and customer interaction logs.
- Build and maintain strong working relationships with sales teams, operations, finance, and customers to drive seamless order execution.
- Ensure timely adherence to all presales processes and escalate gaps or delays for swift resolution.
- Gather customer feedback and share insights for process improvement and enhanced service delivery.
- Support presales activities including documentation, coordination for demonstrations, and responding to customer queries.
Required Skillsets :
Strong communication, coordination, and customer-handling abilities.Proficiency in MS Office tools, especially Excel and Word, along with experience in using ERP systems.Knowledge of invoicing processes, e-invoice and e-way bill generation.Ability to manage multiple deadlines, prioritize tasks, and work efficiently under pressure.Good analytical and documentation skills with the ability to maintain accurate MIS reports.Strong customer relationship management abilities with a service-oriented approach.Attention to detail, time management skills, and ability to work in a cross-functional environment.Understanding of basic sales processes, order management, and commercial documentation(ref : iimjobs.com)
