Freelance DevOps Engineer

Looking for a Freelance DevOps Engineer | Remote to join a team of rockstar developers. The candidate should have a minimum of 5+ years of experience.

Company Background - We are a multinational software company that is growing at a fast pace. We have offices in Florida & New Delhi. Our clientele spreads across the US, Australia & APAC. To give you a sense of our growth rate, we've added 70+ employees in the last 6 weeks itself and expect another 125+ by the end of Q1 2024.

Key Responsibilities

Design, deploy, and maintain cloud infrastructure on Microsoft Azure .

Implement and manage Azure services including VMs, Storage, Networking, VNets, Load Balancers, Azure AD, and Backup .

Automate provisioning and configuration using ARM templates, Bicep, or Terraform .

Monitor and optimize cloud resources using Azure Monitor, Log Analytics, and Application Insights .

Ensure cloud security using Azure Security Center, Defender, Conditional Access, and Identity Governance .

Implement CI / CD pipelines using Azure DevOps / GitHub Actions .

Troubleshoot cloud workloads, networking issues, and performance bottlenecks.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to migrate applications to Azure.

Maintain documentation and enforce cloud governance best practices.

Must-Have Skills

Strong hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure services.

Expertise in Azure AD / Entra ID , identity management, Conditional Access, and RBAC.

Experience with Terraform / ARM / Bicep for IaC.

Solid understanding of Azure networking : VNets, Subnets, NSGs, VPN Gateway, ExpressRoute.

Exposure to Azure security tools and governance (Defender, Azure Policy, Security Center).

Good experience with PowerShell / CLI for automation.

Knowledge of CI / CD pipelines , DevOps workflows, and version control (Git).

Good to Have

Experience with Containers, Docker, AKS .

Knowledge of SQL / NoSQL databases on Azure (CosmosDB, Azure SQL).

Understanding of hybrid cloud environments, on-prem to cloud migration.

Azure certifications (AZ-104, AZ-305, AZ-700, AZ-500).
