This Position reports to :

Senior Engineering Manager

Your role and responsibilities

In this role, you will have the opportunity to act as a design authority for an engineering discipline with low to medium complexity. Each day, you will complete assignments on small projects or portions of larger projects in a cost-effective manner. You will also showcase your expertise by applying basic design thinking / design for excellence concepts in projects.

This role is contributing to the Process Automation business based in Bangalore, India

You will be mainly accountable for : Review of Technical specification of DCS Cabinets and Designing the cabinets to meet the customer specification. Evaluating, selecting, and applying standard techniques and procedures to perform engineering assignments.

Providing technical support for testing, installation, and commissioning activities. Experience with the ABB 800xA System including power and grounding requirements, field cabling requirements and field wiring “typical” for IO signals, equipment, installation, connection, power-up and site acceptance testing.

Experience in Front End Engineering Design (FEED), Detailed Design, implementation, Test, Installation, Commissioning & Start-up of an Integrated Control & Safety System and Process Power Management (PPM) system in the Oil & Gas, Chemicals & Refining or Power & Water Industry with focus on efficiency improvements.

Utilizing checklists to perform design verification according to applicable standards and engineering guidelines.

Qualifications for the role (Mandatory) Full-time Bachelors degree in Electrical / Electronics Engineering discipline

6 to 10 years of experience in similar field. At least 3 years of professional work experience in Automation Proposals (DCS / ESD / FGS)  for process industries in any one of the domains like Oil & Gas / Refineries / Petrochemicals.

Experience in Preparation of deliverables - System Architecture, Bill of materials, General Arrangement Drawings, Schematic etc.

Ability to determine most technical appropriate and cost-effective solutions during proposal
