Senior Associate-Financial Modelling

Key Responsibilities Supporting our clients on multiple industries including Consumer, IT / BPO, Telecom, Real Estate, Infrastructure, Healthcare, Metal & Mining, Retail, Oil & Gas, FIG, Services

Preparing robust financial / transaction models by applying detailed understanding of commercial practicalities, accounting and finance knowledge, technical ability, quantitative analysis, and logic

Creating financial models that capture the future operating, investing and financing activities, and helps clients determine future profitability, financial position, and risk

Should be well versed with OpCo Modeling, JV Modeling, Waterfall Valuation and other IB database and research tasks

Conducting market analysis and develops an initial hypothesis around growth / drivers and upside potential and downside risks

Leverage economic and industry knowledge to assess the validity of the financial models and reports

Identifying critical assumptions and facts that underline valuation estimates and provides alternative approaches as required

Generating models and analyses as industry requirements dictate and leverages economic and market condition knowledge to assess the validity of models and reports

Meeting project timelines and quality of deliverables in a manner to ensure “high client satisfaction”

Conducting quality control check of the outgoing reports / packs

Engaging client independently on calls and e-mails

Other responsibilities include :

Scoping the new projects, structuring deliverables / new research products

Producing high quality informative and visually appealing presentations and deck

Demonstrating strength and experience in client / requester relationship building and management, information / knowledge needs assessment

Key Competencies

MBA / CFA / CA

3-5 years of experience in the Investment banking space

Knowledge of best practice reporting and International Financial Reporting Standards.

Experience in valuation, financial modelling, transaction support and due diligence

Should be able to work independently, with minimal guidance and support

Prior experience in handling clients directly through calls / mails

Excellent written and spoken communication skills

Should be well versed with MS Office suite specially Microsoft Excel, Word, and Power Point
