The Role

We are seeking a Senior Backend Engineer to contribute to the design, development and operation of Venx’s core backend services.

This is a hands-on engineering role focused on building and running production systems. You will work within a small, focused engineering organization responsible for the platform’s core capabilities.

What You’ll Do

• Design and implement backend services using Python and FastAPI
• Build and operate RESTful APIs supporting automation and system integrations
• Design and maintain PostgreSQL-based data models for operational workloads
• Integrate external platforms and services through secure APIs
• Deploy and operate containerized services in cloud-native environments
• Ensure systems meet requirements for security, scalability, and fault tolerance
• Write clean, testable, and maintainable production code
• Support services throughout their lifecycle, including monitoring and incident response
• Contribute to technical discussions and architectural decision-making
