Job Description :

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Content Editor who is well-versed in the Kannada language to oversee the content for Kannada Prabha. The ideal candidate will have a strong editorial background, excellent Kannada language proficiency, and a keen eye for detail. The Content Editor will be responsible for ensuring the accuracy, quality, and integrity of our published content.

Key Responsibilities :

Content Editing and Proofreading :

Edit and proofread articles, news stories, and other content for accuracy, clarity, and consistency.

Ensure that all content adheres to the publication's style guide and standards.

Check for grammar, punctuation, and spelling errors.

Content Development :

Collaborate with writers, reporters, and other editorial staff to develop high-quality content.

Provide constructive feedback and guidance to writers to improve their work.

News Monitoring and Research :

Stay updated with current events, news trends, and developments in Kannada-speaking regions.

Conduct research to verify facts and ensure the credibility of the content.

Content Strategy :

Assist in planning and developing the editorial calendar.

Contribute to the development of content strategies to increase readership and engagement.

Team Collaboration :

Work closely with the editorial team, including reporters, photographers, and designers.

Coordinate with the digital team to ensure content is effectively presented on online platforms.

Quality Control :

Maintain high editorial standards and ensure that all published content meets the publication's quality benchmarks.

Implement and uphold editorial policies and guidelines.

Qualifications :

Bachelor's degree in Journalism, Mass Communication, Kannada Literature, or a related field.

Proven experience in content editing, writing, or journalism, preferably with a Kannada publication.

Exceptional proficiency in Kannada language, including grammar, spelling, and syntax.

Strong editorial judgment and attention to detail.

Ability to work under tight deadlines and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Familiarity with digital content management systems and online publishing tools is a plus.
